Primitive Beer is Colorado's first exclusively spontaneous, barrel-fermented beer blendery. Inspired by centuries-old Belgian brewing techniques and a flair for the modern, we are excited to release blends that reflect our passion for funky yet balanced flavor profiles emphasizing Colorado ingredients. We package our beers, purposefully still (lacking carbonation), in bag-in-box to satiate your cravings for local flavors in wild beers.

In addition to paying homage to our Belgian contemporaries and accentuating the wine-like qualities of our beer, the box is a perfect package for taking on travels, outdoor adventures, or continually sampling from your fridge without risk of oxidation and staling.

We now have effervescent blends conditioned for six-months in Champagne-style glass 375ml and 750ml bottles. Currently, each of these beers are the product of 2-year mature Colorado spontaneous beer naturally carbonated with local Alfalfa honey. When released, each blend is where we currently love its flavor profile, however, we believe these beers will age very gracefully given time. It’s a “choose your own adventure” really!
